• An Honest Look At A Mothers Grieving Heart

"I was given this book as a gift, and it mirrored in so many ways my own journey through the heartbreak of losing our first daughter. The author's style of writing is straight-forward and open. Her honest heart pulls back the curtain and allows you a window into her journey of losing a child at birth, and God's tender way of healing her heart. Sometimes this book is raw, allowing you to share in her thoughts, and even the anger and despondency that often accompanies the loss of a child. It's an honest, 'real' look at the many ways people responded in trying to bring comfort. I could relate in that sometimes we find ourselves trying to explain WHY, and even explain God's intentions. In the process, we often hurt people without meaning to. This book was an easy read for me; one mother's story of how she processed the loss of her son and found God's comfort and peace. It seems one of her goals is to provide hope to those 'stuck' in grief and point the way to a loving God who is close to the broken-hearted. It's a book about the healing power of God, and how the author's willingness to involve him in the process brought beauty out of ashes. It was a personal reminder to me of how God's faithful love healed my own heart all those years ago, and that he can be trusted with the very hard, honest things we often struggle with in the aftermath of loss." • God's Unfailing Love

"Brooklyn was open and honest in her words written from her heart. I found myself crying throughout most of her book. I also found myself praying and praising The God Who created everything. It's amazing how God can draw you closer to Him so He can pour His love out over you, healing you in areas you didn't even realize needed healing. I am forever grateful that Brooklyn was obedient in writing her book. May God bless you in everything you do. LOVE" - Brenda Gaza 9/6/22
